The agent of Lorenzo Insigne says his winner against Juventus was struck through the "love of Napoli".
The captain converted from the spot to help beat Juve on Saturday.
“The love for Napoli gave him the courage to take that penalty kick," Insigne's agent Vincenzo Pisacane told Radio CRC.
“In that spot-kick there was the desire to put behind the bitterness for what happened in Reggio Emilia, in addition to all the controversy that followed.
“It was hard for Lorenzo to miss that penalty kick, but thanks to the love of his family and teammates, he was able to silence anyone who thought he could lose his mind against Juventus."
