INSIDER: Zenit won't keep Chelsea target Paredes against his will

Former Zenit St Petersburg attacker Gennady Orlov isn't surprised Chelsea are keen on Leandro Paredes.

The Argentine midfielder is wanted by Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri this month after the sale of Cesc Fabregas to AS Monaco.

Orlov told Sport-Express: "I think you need to be very careful in the estimates, so as not to harm the guy.

"It is better not to answer such questions in the press. Chelsea has a lot of scouts, they have an idea about possible newbies. It is clear that the English club is interested in Paredes.

"It is not by chance that the Argentine is said to be a favourite of head coach Sarri. And the position of (Zenit manager) Sergei Semak is as follows: if a person wants to leave, then you have to let him go."
