Newcastle United are prepared to drop their pursuit of Sevilla defender Diego Carlos.
Pete Graves of Sky Sports, claims the Toon are growing tired of Sevilla moving the goal posts after originally being quoted €30m for Carlos' signature.
Graves tweeted: "NUFC ready to walk away from Diego Carlos deal. It's thought original price quoted was €30m but Sevilla changed numerous times.
"Tough on player who's desperate to sign. Newcastle now actively looking elsewhere. They have money, won't be taken advantage of."
He added: "One key thing to add on #nufc. Big offers made this window and still working on more!
"However they MUST know when to walk away. With Botman and Carlos fee's kept rising. Remember with FFP if they OVERSPEND now they have smaller budget in crucial summer window."
