MLS clubs will have to get creative if they're to tempt Real Madrid star Gareth Bale to the US.
Representatives for Bale raised the prospect of a move to MLS earlier this week, with LA Galaxy mentioned.
However, with wage reductions on the table due to the coronavirus suspension, the likes of Galaxy face an uphill battle getting close to convincing Bale financially about the move.
"The only solution would be for Gareth to accept charging less because no franchise would reach the figures he earns in Madrid, he would have to think, in return, of generating other gains for image rights," soccer expert Juan Arango explained to AS, from the Mexican-American channel TUDN.
"Would he be willing to leave half of your salary in Madrid to come to the US? I doubt it, but perhaps you could value more human aspects, such as taking pressure off and having a calmer life in a country where nobody was going to criticise you for playing golf."
