Olympique Marseille are weighing up a move for Manchester City defender Issa Kaboure.

Kaboure is on-loan at KV Mechelen and is being eyed by OM for the winter market.

Local Belgian journalist Stéphane Pauwels told Le Phoceen: "He is indeed interesting, but he is very young and still lacks consistency. He has only twenty matches in Belgium, in a team that is going to war so as not to go down, and in this context he is doing what he must do.

"He has good qualities of speed and tone on its supports. He is also generous in the effort with a good mentality, which is a plus for a team like Marseille.

"But he still has to work on his placement and his defensive attempts. If OM are thinking of him for post-training, then that's a good idea. At a reasonable price, there is a way to make him a very good player and sell him in two or three years, that's for sure."
