Manchester United are maintaining a watching brief for Bodo/Glimt striker Jens Petter Hauge.
United scout Tommy Moller Nielsen made a high-profile check on the teen earlier this summer.
Eurosport journalist Jonas Bergh-Johnsen has confirmed United have scouted Hauge amid reports he is set to join AC Milan.
He confirmed Milan had not sealed a deal for the 20-year-old, adding United were one of many clubs interested.
He told Milan News: "Yes, there are many teams interested in the player. Big clubs are monitoring the situation, Manchester United observed him several times. I also heard that Dinamo Zagreb had made a €3million offer which was later turned down."
