INSIDER: El Clasico took backseat to Ronaldo - he felt Real Madrid affection

Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo was left missing Real Madrid after his celebrated return yesterday.

Ronaldo took in the El Clasico from his private box at the Santiago Bernabeu as Real won 2-0 against Barcelona. His presence excited the home support and media identities alike.

On El Chiringuito, pundit Edu Aguirre declared: "Cristiano felt an incredible affection from the people. One hour from the match, the fans were crazy because it was known that Cristiano Ronaldo would arrive, for a while the El Clasico went into the background for the return of CR7. He felt the affection of Madrid, I'm sure he felt like returning to Real Madrid, because he is a madridista.

"If he can return to Real? He is focused on Juve, on the Champions League: I don't know what will happen in the future and nobody knows. But you never know. And I'm sure he felt like coming back. Now he is happy with Juve, he would die to win the Champions League with Juventus, but you never know: he is a Madrid player. He certainly felt like going back."
