Ousmane Dembele's show of commitment with his approach to training at Barcelona has been clarified.

Dembele has been seen training on his own at Barca HQ, with suggestions he was doing extra sessions during his days off.

But journalist Lluís Canut, on Onze de Esport 3, reported: "Dembélé did not go voluntarily to train but they were exercises that Ronald Koeman had set for him.

"It was not a punishment training but a session to recover the pending training sessions at the beginning of the season, when he was injured and could not carry out the necessary workload."

Canut added that "if this is the first step for Koeman to recover Dembélé's figure, he will be happy with what he's seen".
