The claims of agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho about rivals for Juventus has been questioned.

Sport Italia's Alfredo Pedulla claims Jorginho's agent Joao Santos has been deliberately misleading clubs in order to get the best deal for his player.

Pedulla said: "Joao Santos says he never spoke to Juve.

"It is normal to say so, considering that his client Jorginho has a contract of three more seasons with Chelsea, but the contacts have been there, dating back to a couple of months ago with continuous updates.

"Jorginho's agent must play his game. After all, a couple of years ago he spoke of an agreement with Manchester City but then the great surprise Chelsea materialised.

"Jorginho has given total availability. He wants to go back to work with [Maurizio] Sarri.

"We must find the joints [details], possibly an exchange with Chelsea, without forgetting the possible involvement of Emerson Palmieri.

"It is normal that Joao Santos has to tell a few lies. When talking about the transfer market the agents occasionally turn off the rumours out of interest.

"But underneath they know that things can be completely different from what was declared."
