INSIDER: Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen in agreement over Havertz valuation

Chelsea are hopeful of a quick agreement with Bayer Leverkusen over a fee for Kai Havertz.

Chelsea have had a deal over personal terms in place with the midfielder for some weeks and this week kicked off negotiations with Bayer over a fee.

Sky Italia's Fabrizio Romano reports Bayer are seeking €80m to sell Havertz - a figure Chelsea are happy to meet. The only details to be settled now are method of payment and how the fee will be structured.

Bayer are pushing for an upfront deal, while Chelsea would prefer a bonus-laden arrangement.

However, there is a confidence on both sides of the table that an agreement will soon be found.
