Barcelona had Sterling deal 'agreed' with Man City

Barcelona are seriously exploring the prospect of prising Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.

Barca are in the market for an attacking midfielder and see Sterling as a cheaper option than RB Leipzig ace Dani Olmo. Olmo is a former La Masia trainee and is open to returning to Barca, but Sterling is viewed as the more affordable option by the Catalans.

Indeed, it's been revealed Barca are reviving interest in Sterling after having a deal AGREED for the England international over the summer.

Via Le 10 Sport, local reporter Oriol Domenech has revealed an agreement was found over a loan for Sterling with a permanent option set at €70m. But at the last moment the deal fell through.

Sterling's minders and Barca have been maintaining contact with the prospect of the England ace moving to Spain some time in 2022.

Sterling was a second-half substitute for yesterday's 2-2 draw at Liverpool.
