PSG are confident of securing Neymar to a new contract.
That's according to Brazilian journalist Isabela Pagliari, who is close to Neymar's camp. It's been suggested Barcelona president Joan Laporta is keen to bring the Brazilian back to the Nou Camp this summer.
But Pagliari said on Europe 1: "Negotiations with Neymar are still on track. I see that the Spanish press is talking about everything, but I know that there are still things to be settled in the Neymar file. But if he was not the player that Paris wanted and the leader of the PSG project, it would not be him who would be present at a press conference before the first leg against Manchester City.
"It was the club that wanted this, it was not the player who asked for it. This shows that the club is counting on Neymar. I just think his extension (until 2026, with an optional year) is just a matter of timing. We must be patient in this matter. I don't hope this will last and become a soap opera for the summer. Neymar wants to stay at PSG. He is very happy there."
