INSIDER: Ancelotti winning over Everton fans during Bootle strolls

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is being praised for the way he's settled in the area.

Ancelotti has been spotted across the city during his tenure by fans.

The Liverpool Echo's David Prentice told the Royal Blue Podcast: "It's got to be a good thing.

"He's mixing with supporters who are making him aware of the expectation on Everton managers but he's also shown a common touch.

"He's shown he's one of the locals, one of the guys happy to wander around Bootle Strand shopping centre one day and [Crosby] the next, counting the number of statues out there. He's a normal guy, it's heartening.

"Marco Silva lived out in Cheshire, Ronald Koeman moving there deliberately to get away from supporters for a little bit of a switch-off and it leaves you with a sense of frustration that they don't quite share the same level of joy in what the club are achieving.

"Seeing a manager in Merseyside, wandering around, mixing with supporters, it's a great thing. I enjoy seeing stories like that and more of them please!"
