Bristol City new boy Lee Tomlin believes that an injury to Callum Wilson hindered his progress at Bournemouth.
Tomlin joined the Robins on a loan deal from Bournemouth after managing just six Premier League appearances for the Cherries following his summer move from Middlesbrough.
During his three top flight starts under Eddie Howe, Tomlin struck up an understanding with Cherries striker Wilson who was cruelly cut down by a knee injury in late September, and attributes to his lack of game time following that mishap as a reason for his eventual shut to Ashton Gate.
"In the games I played in I did really well," Tomlin told the FL72 podcast.
"What killed me a little bit was Callum Wilson getting injured - we were starting to develop a really good partnership - but that is what happens in football.
"It can turn like that. I'm excited about playing and I'm looking forward to it. It might take me a few games but the last time I played I felt quite good - hopefully I can just kick on from that.
"There's no pressure on me. I just go and play. If you express yourself then you should do OK."
