Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has indicated he is a step closer to making his return from injury following the Red Devils' 5-1 Europa League win over FC Midtjylland.

Shaw suffered a horrific leg injury playing for United against PSV Eindhoven in September, but revealed on Twitter he is still holding out hope of playing in the Europa League final on May 18, should the Red Devils progress that far in the tournament.

The 6-3 aggregate win over the Danish Champions saw United secure progression to Round of 16.
