Former Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta says the club's young players shouldn't be concerned about the deal for Toulouse defender Jean Clair Tobido.

For some, the signing of the 18 year-old is a clear sign Barca management have no confidence in the current crop of youngsters inside the La Masia academy.

However Iniesta, now with Vissel Kobe, says: "When you recruit such a young player, it's because you know he'll improve and so you believe in this player.

"That does not mean that the leaders do not look at the youngsters inside the training centre anymore. The leaders will always be attentive to the qualities of the young players at the training centre."
