The Premier League has confirmed a new three-season deal for its rights in India to pay-television broadcaster Star Sports, from 2019-20, reports SportBusiness.

It is thought that Star faced little competition for the rights, as Star's main rival in the sports rights market, pay-television operator Sony, did not challenge strongly.

Star will broadcast 250 matches live on its linear platform and will stream all 380 matches live on its digital platform, Hotstar.
