VfL Wolfsburg have taken Philipp Wollscheid on-loan from Stoke City with the view to a permanent deal.
Kicker says the defender joins for a loan fee of €1.5 million.
Should he impress, Wolfsburg can sign Wollscheid outright for €6 million. The option will be triggered after a certain number of appearances.
The stopper joined Stoke a year ago and was a first-choice for manager Mark Hughes.
He had previous Bundesliga experience with Bayer Leverkusen and FSV Mainz.
