Wilfred Ndidi could quite possibly debut for Leicester City this weekend.
The 20-year-old defensive midfielder completed his £15million transfer from Belgian club RacingGenk this week, obtained a UK visa and linked up with his new teammates on Thursday.
Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri, who did not want to compare Ndidi to N'Golo Kante, suggests the Nigerian is being considered for Saturday's third-round FA Cup clash with Everton at Goodison Park.
"Everything with the work permit is OK," said Ranieri.
"He trained today, he is available for Saturday and all is fine.
"Today was his first [training session]. He was OK and I want to see tomorrow and then I'll choose [the team for the weekend].
"He is a very impressive player with a great future. He is tall and jumps very well for the headers, moves the ball quickly, and recovers the ball very well.
"We have followed him a lot and we hope he will very quickly impress the fans.
"He's another kind of player [to Kante], totally different. A lot of big teams wanted him, but he prefers to come with us to improve."
