Imanol Etxeberria is delighted to have joined Manchester City's coaching staff.

The former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper and coach will be City's keeper coach for the U23 and youth teams.

Etxeberria told Mundo Deportivo: "I'm very happy. You don't realise the dimension of a club like this until you're in it a little bit.

"The important thing is the facilities that are here to work. The academy, which is where I am going to be, the staff, the facilities, the facilities for everything ... I am in a top club worldwide.

"This opportunity has come to me and I don't want to miss it in terms of football, language and training."

He added: “The members of the coaching staff came to greet me and I was talking with Lillo for a long time. Pep (Guardiola), who remembered when we had played against, also greeted me."
