Ighalo, Vydra on target as Watford down Paderborn

Odion Ighalo and Matej Vydra were on target as Watford ended their pre-season tour of Germany with a 2-0 victory over SC Paderborn.

Nigerian striker Ighalo netted his sixth goal of his last four pre-season games after Vydra had given the Hornets a first-half lead at the Benteler Arena.

The Hornets were ahead in the 12th minute when captain Troy Deeney assisted Vydra to slot home before the advantage was doubled on the hour-mark as Ikechi Anya crossed for Ighalo to finish.

Premier League returnees Watford next face Scottish side Dundee United and Welsh outfit Cardiff City before taking on Europa League winners Sevilla in their next three pre-season fixtures.
