IFK Gothenburg tried to sign Watford keeper Dahlberg

IFK Gothenburg chief Hakan Mild admits they tried to sign Watford goalkeeper Pontus Dahlberg last month.

However, Dahlberg chose to leave Watford for Gillingham on a new loan in January after a stay at Doncaster Rovers.

Mild told Lundh: "Absolutely. Pontus would have been very welcome.

"Yes, he still wanted to stay in England.

"I also think that Watford wanted it more than he that he would go back to IF."
