Idrissa Gueye admits he left Everton for PSG for the sake of his career.

The midfielder signed for PSG last summer, having been blocked from making the switch in January by Everton.

Gueye explained, "I came to Paris to contribute and continue my progress by trying to be useful to the club. No matter the match, against Real Madrid or smaller teams, with all due respect for them. It's the same for us.

"We try to always prepare for the matches in the best way. After, sometimes it works, sometimes not. But we try to be always present and win every game."
