Ibrahimovic tells Man Utd: If Pogba wants to leave... let him!

Former Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes the club should sell Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman has been the subject of transfer speculation all summer, with Real Madrid and Juventus interested in signing him.

Zlatan, who played with Pogba at United during his one and a half year stint at the club, believes no player should be held against his will.

"If he doesn't want to stay it makes no sense to keep him," Ibrahimovic told the BBC.

"If he wants to be somewhere else, that is where you let him go.

"Use the situation and bring somebody that wants to stay. The dressing room, the players respect each other, they understand each others' situation.

"The club worries more and the management because you don't want a player in your club or in your team that doesn't want to stay because you know he won't give 100 or 200 per cent.

"Or he does that and still he doesn't want to stay so it's a tricky situation. The best [thing to do] is what is the best for the club. That is what you have to look at."
