Ibiza president Salvo excited to count on Leeds midfielder Bogusz

Ibiza president Amadeo Salvo has welcomed back Leeds United loanee Mateusz Bogusz.

Bogusz made the switch to the Segunda Division side for the second successive season during the summer window after his impressive campaign last term was cut short due to injury.

The Polish midfielder suffered an ACL injury in January after scoring four goals and providing seven assists in 20 matches. Salvo is hoping for another campaign of a similar level from Bogusz but admits they will need to be 'patient' after such a serious injury.

He told Diario de Ibiza: "His work was incomplete last season. (He was) one of the revelations of the second division (but) he had the misfortune of injury.

"(We could not) replace him because of the level he had offered. This year we have tried and both the persistence of the club and the willingness of Bogusz to return to Ibiza, and the help of Leeds, has got him here.

“He is in the group dynamic, but we have to be patient with him."
