Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has expressed his desire to make a permanent mark at Anfield before he leaves.
Lovren endured a difficult start to life at Liverpool following his £20million move from Southampton but the defender has found a new lease of life this season and has been crucial to the Jurgen Klopp renaissance at Anfield.
The defender seems to be growing in confidence with every passing week and now has gone on to state his ambition of leaving a permanent mark at the club.
He told the Sunday Times: "I want to leave footsteps here.
"I want people to be proud of me and to be able to say 'that was Dejan, he played for us.'
"I want trophies, and I want to be thought of as a leader here. I'm still young but I'm born to be a leader."
