'I'm not going to miss Wales in a final!' - Former Leicester, Derby star Savage

Robbie Savage has stated that he is ready to miss out on his holidays to watch Wales in the final of the European Championships.

Wales prepare to square off against Belgium in the semi-final of Euro2016 in Lyon on Wednesday night and many feel that the Dragons stand a great chance of reaching the final by pulling off another upset.

Former international Savage firmly believes that Wales can progress into the final of the competition and has stated that he is ready to bypass his holiday to Barbados in order to watch his nation in action.

The former Leicester City and Derby County midfielder wrote in his column for the Daily Mirror: "You may not be surprised to learn I've already booked my plane ticket home from a family holiday in Barbados — I'm not going to miss Wales in a European Championship final for all the sunshine in the Caribbean!

"And you may not be surprised to find out I'm backing Bale to have a bigger influence on the game then Ronaldo.

"On paper, Portugal have the better players – but as I said last week, football is played on grass, not paper."
