Crystal Palace winger Jason Puncheon has claimed that he could have filled an entire end of Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup final.

The 29-year-old, who is a local boy from Croydon, is eagerly awaiting Saturday's showdown with Manchester United for which he has been inundated with request from friends and relatives.

He said: "I'm a local boy - everyone comes out of the woodwork for the FA Cup final.

"I could have filled a whole end by myself!"

Palace will be trying to win their very first FA Cup on the weekend having lost the 1990 final, coincidentally to United, who have won the trophy on 11 occasions.
