Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has named Gerard Houllier and Rafa Benitez as the best managers he has played under at the club.
The former Reds defender claims that both the French and Spanish tacticians were equally important in his career and he cannot choose between the two.
In a special Q&A session with the Daily Mail, he said when asked about the best manager he had: "Gerard Houllier and Rafa Benitez. I never split them.
"It's not sitting on the fence. Twelve years of my career was under those two managers.
"Houllier made me into a proper Liverpool player and Benitez took me onto a level where I was one of the leaders in the team.
"Houllier was more of a manager than a coach, whereas Rafa was a coach. All he was interested in was football."
