Erik Hurtado says he is happy to play any role that Vancouver Whitecaps head coach Carl Robinson asks of him.
The 23-year old second-year forward has made four substitute appearances for the 'Caps this season, providing an assist in the weekend's 2-2 draw with the LA Galaxy, adding to his one assist in 15 appearances as a rookie in 2013.
Hurtado, who joined Vancouver from Portland Timbers in January last year, is well aware that he has to bide his time before becoming a regular in Robinson's line-up and also highlighted the fact that the coach has plenty of confidence in every player on the roster to do a job when asked.
"He stresses all the time that he believes in every player in this squad," Hurtado told MLSsoccer.com.
"He's always had that confidence in us, so when I go into a game I just want to do what I've always done.
"Honestly, for me right now, I just got to keep patient. Whatever the team needs. If I can help the team when I come on, then yeah, if the team's winning and I don't go on, then it's good for the team.
"Me, personally, I like playing and I like getting minutes."
