Ajax veteran Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is happy for teammate Frenkie de Jong over his move to Barcelona.

The Ajax midfielder will move to Barca at the end of the season.

"I hope he does well in Barça, but first I hope he does everything in the six months that he has left in Ajax," said former Real Madrid striker Huntelaar.

"The transfer was also to Spain, but the amounts are very different. Frenkie has many qualities and is a fantastic player.

"Now it's his turn to prove it."

Huntelaar also had some advice: "Keep it up, playing soccer and having fun with it, let him be himself and develop. He is a sober boy, he is not going to go crazy."
