Arsenal are poised to suffer a fresh blow in their pursuit of Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, reports the Daily Express. The Dutchman had been a mooted Gunners target in January, but interest in him appeared to dissipate.

But Huntelaar has now revealed.

"It is very well possible that I sign another extension with Schalke.

"I could sign another contract here at the age of 32.

"Retiring here is an option for me."
