Steve Bruce has revealed that Hull City are not ready to match Brentford's asking price for Andre Gray.

Hull have been pursuing the services of Gray all summer long but the Tigers have not yet reached an agreement to sign the striker.

Bruce said: "No, it's quite plain that we've got to meet their valuation.

"At the moment we can't. We've known for long enough now how much it's going to cost. We haven't been prepared to meet Brentford's valuation. Bristol have and if we're going to revisit it, you're asking the wrong person."
