Hull still keen but Man Utd unlikely to let Johnstone leave on loan

Manchester United have reportedly told Sam Johnstone to forget about a loan move away from Old Trafford.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils will not send the 22-year-old goalkeeper to the Championship despite having David De Gea, Sergio Romero and Victor Valdes as their initial options.

Hull City have expressed plenty of interest in Johnstone, who has had recent spells with Doncaster Rovers and Preston North End, but it is believed that Louis van Gaal plans to keep him around the United first team and does not want to send him away for the 2015/16 season.
