Hull set to test Bullard in relegation battle

Hull City boss Phil Brown is set to test midfielder Jimmy Bullard for the relegation clash with West Ham at Upton Park this weekend.

Bullard has only just returned to full training after being out of action for the past two months with another knee injury but Brown may throw him into hot water on the weekend despite him making less than a handful of appearances this term.

"It's still very early stages of Jimmy's comeback," said the Tigers boss.

"He has been out on the training ground with the first team and been floating around in training situations.

"He's feeling his way back in at the minute and the players, more than anyone, are aware of what he's capable of.

"Everyone at this club wants Jimmy Bullard playing as soon as possible, but it's still far too early in the week to make a decision over Saturday."
