Hull City are reported to have made a £6million bid for Manchester United youngster Fraizer Campbell, reports Sky Sports News. The 21-year-old spent seven months on loan at the KC Stadium in October 2007, where his 15 goals helped Phil Brown's men achieve promotion to the top flight.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Following reports in the media this weekend, the club can confirm that it has had an offer accepted by Manchester United for striker Fraizer Campbell.

"Consequently, the club has been given permission to open talks with Campbell."
