Hull new boy Maloney leaves with Chicago Fire's best wishes

Shaun Maloney has left Chicago Fire on good terms, insist the MLS club's manager Frank Yallop.

Maloney brought an end to his short stay in Chicago after completing a move to Hull City on Thursday and despite his brief period at the club, the MLS side have revealed that the Scottish international left the club on good terms.

Fire Head Coach and Director of Soccer Frank Yallop said: "It's tough to see a player of his quality leave but you have to take the human aspect of sport into consideration.

"I'm pleased that the club, Andrew Hauptman, myself and Brian Bliss were able to find a solution that worked for all parties involved and I wish Shaun nothing but the best."
