Hull management expect big things from Jarrod Bowen

Hull City academy boss Tony Pennock admits they're expecting big things from Jarrod Bowen.

Bowen, 17, has signed a three-year deal with the Tigers this summer, rejecting the advances of Premier League rivals West Brom and Championship outfit Wolves.

"Jarrod showed glimpses of what he's capable of last year, he took to Conference football well," Pennock told the Hull Daily Mail.

"It's a physical league but that didn't trouble him. He can play out wide, he can play in the hole, he's got a good left foot and he's got a trick in him as well.

"He's not played a lot of academy football so he's rough, ready and a little bit raw, but that innocence he brings is no bad thing.

"He's a boy who is 100 per cent committed and he's excited by this challenge. I'm sure he'll do well here."
