Hull hero Bullard pleased with progress of recovery

Jimmy Bullard has told Hull City fans he's closing in on a comeback.

Bullard doesn't expect to be fit for Saturday's clash with Manchester City.

"I've just done my second session of straight-line running," Bullard told TIGERS Player. "That has gone well and there haven't been any hiccups so far. I've got a week of that to do and then a week of movement and changing direction.

"We'll see where I am after that. I'm taking each day at a time and I'm getting there.

"I won't be happy until I get a football at my feet, but I will get there in the end.

"I've not got a game in mind. The ligament is still healing. I got told I would be out for six-to-eight weeks when I first did it, but it was a fresh injury and difficult to put a time on it."
