Hull dismiss talks of buyer for the club

Hull City owner Russell Bartlett has cooled talk of a possible takeover at the club. Bartlett was reportedly holding negotiations with multi-millionaire businessman Assem Allam about buying the Championship outfit.

But the Tigers chief insists no talks are in place for the Egyptian-born entrepreneur to take the reins.

"I am not in negotiations to sell the club with anybody and there is no prospect of doing so," said Bartlett.

Hull have been in dire financial straits in recent seasons after spending outside of their means during their two-year spell in the Premier League.
