Hull City defender Curtis Davies is targeting an England call.

Davies, 31, is determined to turn from a Tiger into a Lion and plans to strengthen his credentials against free-scoring Liverpool today.

He said: “There's no way I've given up on getting an England cap.

“There's not a Rio Ferdinand, John Terry or Sol Campbell around right now.

“So I think the door could still be open for me if I carry on with my current form."
