James Chester is delighted with his current form at Hull City.
The defender made his Wales debut at the end of last season.
He told Sky Sports: "I feel as though I'm playing my club football at a level where I should be and now I'm really looking forward to giving international football a go.
"I enjoyed it. They've been aware that I could play for Wales for a few years and since Chris Coleman took over he's been ringing me.
"With the injuries I had last season, my debut (against Holland in June) came a bit later than I'd have liked but the time of my career is right."
