Hull City chairman Adam Pearson says no signings will be made unless they can move players out in January.
Pearson is still trying to balance the books at the KC.
He told the Hull Daily Mail: "As I have already said, there will be no new signings coming into the club unless we can cut our wage bill significantly.
"For that reason, at the moment we are not looking at any potential signings in January, and I want to make that clear.
"We have no firm interest in any of our players at the moment.
"It is very very difficult to move players out because we are in the bottom six of the Premier League and there aren't many clubs in the Championship with funds available.
"We have to be patient. It will not be a fire-sale, it will be done in a considered manner and in the best interests of the club."
