Hull chairman Pearson involved in original Turner deal

New Hull City chairman Adam Pearson was in part to blame for the lack of cash raised from Michael Turner's sale to Sunderland, it has been revealed.

The Daily Mail says Pearson, in all his vocal fuss about the lack of money received from the sale of the £12m-rated defender Turner to Sunderland for £4m in the last transfer window, seems to have forgotten he was also chairman of Hull first time when Turner was signed from Charlton.

This was a deal that included the extraordinary 33 per cent buy-on percentage for Turner's previous clubs Brentford and Charlton.
