New Hull City chairman Adam Pearson says manager Phil Brown still has his respect.
There have been doubts about Brown's future since the return of Pearson to the KC.
But he told the Hull Daily Mail: "I've had very positive discussions with Phil.
"We've had a meeting that's based on going forward over a lot longer period than one game. I don't think either of us would be wasting our time if we thought it was for one game.
"Results have got to improve, of course, Phil knows that more than anyone.
"I've got a lot of respect for what he has achieved here, it's been an absolutely outstanding period in the club's history.
"But the last nine months has seen the club come off the rails a little bit and we all need to get that focus and direction back."
