Hull City chairman Adam Pearson believes manager Phil Brown is handling the pressure well as his job remains on the line.
Asked whether Brown was comfortable with his job being reviewed on a week-by-week basis, Pearson told the Hull Daily Mail: "Phil is really aware of it.
"I wouldn't say he is comfortable with it, as nobody is when they are under intense pressure, but I think he works well under pressure.
"He has responded well to being under pressure and he is coming through the other end."
Despite leading his men to a crucial 2-1 victory over Stoke, speculation still mounted last week Brown was to be sacked.
