Hull boss: Why beating Man Utd bigger than Olympiakos win over Arsenal...

Hull City manager Marco Silva has stated that beating Manchester United on Tuesday night will be a bigger achievement than Olympiakos triumphing over Arsenal last season.

Hull prepare to square off against United in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-finals at Old Trafford on Tuesday night and it goes without saying that the odds are stacked against the Tigers heading into the clash.

New Tigers boss Silva has been speaking ahead of the encounter and has stated that if the Tigers can claim a victory over United at the Theatre of Drams, it will be a bigger achievement than his Olympiakos side earning a historic win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League last term.

Silva said: "It's different and I think it's easy to find why it's different.

"When I went to the Emirates with Olympiacos, I'd had three or four months to work with my team.

"I first came to Olympiacos in July and I had my roster. I prepared my team, made pre-season with my team. We played against Arsenal and Arsenal, of course, were a big favourite, but we had months of work.

"At this moment it's completely different. When I talk to you about our problems, it's completely different."
