Hull City boss Steve Bruce won't rush new contract talks.
Stephen Quinn, Liam Rosenior and Alex Bruce have all staged initial talks over possible two-year deals over recent weeks, while there have previously been indications that Paul McShane, Maynor Figueroa and Steve Harper could also be offered the chance to extend contracts.
Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail: "The difficulty now is the position we're in. It's a tough time to be handing out contracts when we're in the bottom five or six.
"It's fair to say we will be turning our attention to that now the transfer window has gone.
"We're not in any great rush. Let's hope we're offering up Premier League contracts but it's difficult at the minute.
"We've been talking with a number of players. There's no deals set in stone yet.
"We've been talking with Quinny, to Liam and to Alex and I would think summer is going to be a busy time in particular. Then we've got a number of players who are out of contract in 2016."
