Hull City boss Steve Bruce hopes to talk down Tottenham's asking price for Jake Livermore.

Although a clause in the loan agreement gives City the option to buy, that figure is considered too high.

Bruce said: "If we can secure our Premier League status then we'll go into negotiations with Spurs to make Jake our first signing. He's done fantastically well and that's what we'd like to do."
