Hull boss Brown won't cancel birthday celebrations

Hull City boss Phil Brown will get on his Harley and ride down to the south of France next week - no matter what happens against Manchester United tomorrow.

He grinned: "I've grown the beard back but it's not a superstitious thing. I'm going to jump on my Harley-Davidson and go to the South of France at the end of Sunday.

"I'll get my bandana on and take a big cigar with me and off I'll go into the sunset.

"I'll be going straight off after the game to celebrate my 50th birthday - when hopefully I'll still be a Premier League manager."

He added: "I wouldn't say we've enjoyed the ride, maybe the fans have after 104 years out of the top league. But I've never said we would enjoy it regardless.

"The only way you can really enjoy football is by winning. It's been a pleasure for me to go through this season though."
